Serendipitously brought together for a life changing adventure in the majestic jungle of Sri Lanka, Melanie & Tessa have been close friends and magic makers ever since. 

Their friendship has taken them from hosting surf & yoga retreats in the tropics to both going on their own journey curating experiences, only to come back together to co curate Surf Alchemy; a surf & energy work retreat listed by Conde Nast Traveller in the top 10 women's surf retreats in the world.

Both have a deep love & knowledge of energy work having learnt from healer & teacher Mairead Heagney and now bringing their own unique take on how you can re-connect with your authenticity and stand in your power.

Between them they bring over 20 years worth of knowledge and expertise in the area of energy work, empowerment & retreat facilitation. In Our Power was born out of a desire for an authentic space to bring women together to realise their inner power in a fun, joyful & grounded environment. 

Melanie is the founder of Rebelle Surf, the only female owned and led surf school in Ireland. Her surf school is a refreshing and powerful space that teaches kids and adults to find their flow and power through the art of surfing. Melanie has collaborated with and co hosted Surf retreats with Kassia Meador, Leah Dawson and also with collectives such as Waves of Grief. Melanie runs online workshops, one to one surf sessions and also private coaching teaching how to connect with our physical and energetic power.

Tessa is the founder of Heart Space, an online platform where women can learn energy medicine for healing & empowerment. She has also curated & facilitated retreats & wellbeing experiences for brands such as Facebook, Apple, Soul Circus & most recently produced an online course featuring the world renowned Dr. Gabor Mate. She’s run large scale retreats, festivals & wellbeing experiences all over the world & is passionate about bringing people together to rediscover their strength & find inner peace. 

Both have been on their own journey of healing & transformation and the lessons they bring are grounded in their own life experiences of overcoming adversity only to find love, joy & expansion on the other side. They both know that we all have the power, not only to heal, but to build a beautiful life full of abundance, love & creativity.
